But he will be the only one a group of girls will have their eyes on in the new season of Farmer Wants a Wife.
An application was sent to the show’s producers by Mr Mitchell’s friends, but it was his own charm that deemed the Culcairn sheep stud farmer an eligible bachelor.
But Mr Mitchell is not yet guaranteed to appear on the show, potential wives have to vote for the 10 farmers on the show’s website and the six with the most interest will meet their suitors.
Since separating from his wife two years ago, Mr Mitchell has grown lonely on his farm.
“I’m in a position where I’m feeling like I want to move on,” he said.
“I have nobody to come home to at night.
“I’m looking to the next stage of my life and I have a little farm here that I’m working fairly hard for and I wouldn’t mind sharing it with somebody.”

Mr Mitchell doesn’t have a favourite pick-up line but will rely on his outgoing and sensitive nature to woo his ladies if he gets to meet them.
“I don’t really like talking about myself,” he said.
“I’m a bit of a larrikin and don’t mind having a good time.”
The father of two, Lachlan, 7, and Liv, 6, pictures his ideal woman as outgoing and somebody willing to embrace the farming lifestyle.
