The Saints were ruthless, kicking a match-winning nine goals to two in the opening quarter as they stormed to a 21.15 (141) to 15.5 (95) victory.
It was the flag favourites’ fifth consecutive win and put them a step closer to a prized top-two finish.
Tall marking targets Jarrod Hillary, Chris Taylor and Dean Murphy combined for 14 goals.
They capitalised on the absence of key defenders Alex Freeman and Ryan Johnson, who missed with injury.
But their performance was overshadowed by Murray Magpies spearhead Ash Murray, who booted 11 of the visitors’ 15 goals in an outstanding solo effort.
Murray was unstoppable as he had the better of several Saints defenders, but he was forced to play a lone hand in attack, with centre half-forward Jesse Johnston also sidelined with injury.
The burly forward has now booted 51 goals and remains some chance of cracking the magical 100-goal milestone with eight rounds remaining and the Magpies expected to play finals.
CDHBU notched a hard-fought seven-point win over Holbrook at Coreen, with little separating the two teams for the majority of the contest, while Henty smashed fierce rival Culcairn by 107 points.
Howlong enjoyed a thumping 102-point win over Billabong Crows, with Josh Dicketts, Joel Price and James Gray combining for 15 goals.
Rand-Walbundrie recorded a 55-point win over Walla.
