The pair along with former Vixen Sarah Wall, spent most of the day signing autographs and posing for photos.
Cox and Wall played briefly in the Demon’s D grade and again in an All Stars clash, which featured a number of Ovens and Murray netballers, including Raider Courtney Hillier, North Albury’s Molly Goldsworthy along with Bailey Lang and Tara Monshing from Myrtleford.
Organiser Stephen Whitsed said it was a huge success.
“It was a fantastic day given the weather — we had hail, at one stage two inches of water across the court, lightning and thunder,” he said.
“The footy was being played in near silence with most of the crowd watching the netball.
“The girls were swamped all day and then held a clinic for about 45 younger netballers and another 25 senior players on Sunday morning.
“There was also a really good crowd for former Vixen Sarah Wall’s netfit class on the Sunday.”
Whitsed said it followed on from the success of last year’s inaugural event with former Diamonds captain Natalie von Bertouch.
“The girls were fantastic, Cox and Chatfield in their day were among the best five netballers in the world but they were here all day, only too happy to be part of the festivities and all in atrocious weather,” he said.
