But Albury United keeper Keely McLaren says they won’t be taking Wangaratta for granted on Sunday.
The last time the pair met it was a 1-1 result that now belies the ladder.
The Red Devils lost in the 90th minute to another high flier Melrose last week, were beaten 2-1 by ladder leaders Boomers before that.
McLaren said they wouldn’t make the same mistake twice.
“Drawing 1-1 earlier in the year was a wake up call and given their recent run of results we know it is not going to be easy,” she said
“But we have Alicia Torcaso back this year and along with Claire Young they are scoring goals at will.
“Bree Quinliven, 15, is a centre back who has proven a real leader this year and another teenager Elle Rimmer, 14, is in the centre mid and in her first year in seniors and is a tall girl also making her mark in the competition.
“This is a must win game.”
