The Phantoms carry bragging rights into the contest after beating the blue and golds 33-25 in a first round encounter marred by the absence of Richard Manion, Ash Lefevre, James Olds, Lex Botha and Liam Krautz on rep duties.
All five are back.
Hugh Erwin believes there is a growing sense of excitement at Murrayfield.
The versatile back was part of the past three grand finals including 2013’s undefeated season.
“This is a much younger group than the side back in 2013 and so there is a genuine sense of anticipation in the way we are building towards the finals – many of them haven’t experienced that before,” he said.
“A lot of people point to the fact that we don’t have a huge forward pack but at the same time I don’t think there is a side in competition that can match our mobility.”
Erwin believes the Steamers are yet to peak.
“We are just working on fine tuning the game plan, perfecting the execution,” he said.
“There is a real purpose to training at the moment and we had an excellent session earlier this week.
With three rounds to go it means Saturday's clash will almost certainly decide who gets the rest in the first week of finals.
The Steamers go into the clash off a 40-3 win over Tumut.
