Kelly-Anne Elizabeth Walsh, 39, this week pleaded guilty to the theft of the tin from Elgin’s Bottleshop in Wodonga.
The theft occurred last Tuesday, with a money for six-year-old Sarah Mason, who suffers from pancreatic agenesis, stuffed into a handbag.
The tin had a photo of the Wodonga Primary School student on the front of it, and the money was to be spent on her medical bills
Walsh pleaded guilty to the theft and two other thefts in the Wodonga Magistrates Court, and police unsuccessfully applied to the County Court to have her bail revoked on Wednesday.
Walsh is accused of breaking into an Emerald Avenue home armed with a hammer with Scott Leslie Martin in January to steal painkillers, and the matter will return to court next month.
