Albury Council had been seeking input into its aquatics strategy and three weeks before last Friday’s deadline had received only 260 submissions on the issue.
At the time Mayor Kevin Mack urged people to have their say on the city’s facilities to guide the council as it considered the options.
These included a new indoor pool, which could cost up to $40 million, or upgrading the existing pools in Albury and Lavington.
"The consultant's brief is to look at the facilities we have and consider what the future is for those, and work out the best proposition moving forward," he said.
