INDIGO Shire Council has extended the closing date for its community grants program to July 31. Mayor Bernard Gaffney said there had been a rush of applications in the past few days for the grants but the deadline extension was to ensure as many people as possible get the chance to apply. Council has allocated $50,000 to the program. Cr Gaffney said last year 44 recipients received between $200 and $4000.
