Co-principal of Corcoran Parker Wodonga Trevor Parker said the prime cattle market on Tuesday continued to strengthen for the better presented cattle.
“Trade cattle sold to a top of 346cpk with heavy steers of 560 kilograms bringing 338cpk,” he said.
“On Wednesday the heavier cows were dearer, to a top of 260cpk, with secondary plainer types firm on last week at 212-232cpk.
“There was strong demand for properly finished cattle in all categories, especially as they are hard to find in the depths of winter, but yardings are steady at this time of year for cattle numbers.
