Forward Jai Canny said the club was keen to reward coach Brendan Cairns, who this week signed on to coach the club again next season.
Cairns took over as caretaker coach after two games this year, following the departure of Mark Knobel.
“We don’t want to let Cairnsy down,” Canny said.
“It’s a great appointment by the club and he’s a terrific leader.”
Canny and Dylan Van Berlo are back for the Magpies, with Matthew Hedin and Murray Waite out of the side.
The Rovers have made two changes to the team that thrashed Myrtleford last week, bringing in Ben Kneebone and Brenton Cooper.
Canny said the Magpies had to improve after recent hidings.
