“I went down on Tuesday to the old Hawthorn physio and he knew straight away that it was gone, and I knew, too,” Jarryd said.
“I’ve never had one on this knee. You don’t ever get used to doing it, (but) you know what you’re in for.”
Yarrawonga co-coach Drew Barnes was full of praise for both players, who are popular figures at the J.C. Lowe Oval.
“They’re guys you want on your team,” Barnes said.
“Jarryd will do anything around the club and is the first at recovery and first at training.
“Craig’s a premiership player and has been crucial to our success.
“He’s very team orientated, they both are.
“I couldn’t speak highly enough of them.”
The Whinrays will watch over their team from the sidelines on Saturday, as their beloved Pigeons do battle with Wangaratta.
They will be hoping for a repeat of the club’s win over the Magpies in round 6.
