Red flowering gums planted where decades-old poplars once stood along Walbundrie Road have in turn been replaced by about 120 callistemons.
“What we’ve planted is a variety known as King’s Park Special that grows to about six metres” Greater Hume Council general manager Steve Pinnuck said.
