The Wanderers led 3-0 before the Red Devils pegged two back late in the match before going down 3-2.
What made the win even more special for Twin City coach Harry Wilhelm, was the fact that he was missing several key players, including Josh Zito and his son, Cayne.
“We probably deserved it and probably deserved better,” Wilhelm said.
“We were 3-0 up and they scored their two goals in the last fifteen minutes.
“I thought we dominated the game and that was with five senior players out.”
The Red Devils now slip to fourth behind Boomers, Albury United and Myrtleford, but importantly, they’re just three points off the pace.
It was certainly a round of upsets.
Wodonga Heart drew 2-2 with Wodonga Diamonds, Hotspurs beat Melrose 4-3 and Albury United had a 1-0 win over Albury City.
The win moved the Greens up to second.
