A CYCLIST is being treated in hospital for head injuries after a Wodonga crash involving a school bus.

The male rider was heading west in Melbourne Road about 8.40am when he struck the side of the bus which was heading in the same direction.
Sgt Andrew Wilson, of Wodonga police, said officers were still investigating exactly how the cyclist came to strike the bus, which had earlier been carrying students.
The rider was treated on the roadway by paramedics before being taken to Albury Hospital by ambulance.
Sgt Wilson said the man suffered head injuries and was helped by passers-by.
