The star midfielder injured his calf at training on Thursday night and won’t be risked in the state league game.
“It’s something that needs to be managed,” Coutts said.
“Hopefully I’ll be OK in just a week or two.
“I can concentrate on the coaching side of it instead of combining the two.”
Hussein Ntakirutimana is also out for Murray Unired, which has brought Kade Rixon and Mathew Hasler into the squad.
Murray United is fresh after the week off and eager to replicate its last game – a 4-0 thrashing of Nunawading City.
“The boys have worked hard on the training track and we are going into the game full of confidence,” Coutts said.
“The next four or five weeks are going to be a massive test.”
The club’s under-20s will be in action from 1pm, with the seniors from 3pm.
