The midfielder has played just one match in the reserves in 2015, after breaking his wrist in last year’s semi-final win over the Wangaratta Rovers.
Stevens said it had been hard watching the 2014 preliminary final loss to Yarrawonga, and the first 14 rounds of this season.
“I just wanted to be out there with them,” Stevens said.
“I’m itching to get out there.
“I was told when it happened that it could be a year and I could have played with it not being right.
“(But) it’s stronger than the other wrist.”
While Stevens returns, coach James Saker will miss with hamstring tightness.
Midfielders Luke Garland and Matt Pendergast will also take the cautious approach as they return from injury, while ruckman Jamarl O’Sullivan sits out because of suspension.
