Jordan Hore and Adam Jordan have already made the under-13 state country team, with Lewis Gorman, Josh Masters and Alec Mills in the running for the under-14 squad.
“It’s good exposure for those boys,” Murray United technical director Paul Millynn said.
“It’s the purpose of the competition to identify these players to put them into elite programs to hopefully identify potential Australian players.”
The FFA National Youth Championships will be in Coffs Harbour until 2017.
Meanwhile, Murray United continues to impress in its debut season in the National Premier Leagues.
The club’s dramatic 2-1 win over St Albans at the weekend – the Saints are fifth in the west conference – was its sixth victory of the season.
The under-20s won 4-0 for their 15th win of the season.
”We’ve exceeded all expectations,” Millynn said.
“We weren’t sure how competitive we’d be in the 20s.
“We were scared we would get smashed in the seniors.
“But to be this competitive is a massive tick to the players.
“We’ve got 19 coaches on board at the club and we’ve worked pretty hard.”
Murray United will be hoping for more success when it travels to Melbourne for Sunday’s match with the Eastern Lions.
They will hold player trials for next season in October.
