Koschitzke, who has strong ties with the Riewoldt family from his playing days at St Kilda, said yesterday the Panthers were looking to raise as much money as possible for research towards aplastic anaemia.
The disease claimed the life of Nick’s sister, Maddie, at the tender age of 26.
“I was blown away when Peter Barwick offered to do a day,” Koschitzke said.
“The MRV committee is absolutely rapt about it.
“Maddie was the nicest person, she was like a little sister to me when I was at St Kilda.
“I would just ask people to support the day as much as they can, even if it’s a donation at the gate.”
Former St Kilda star Lenny Hayes will be a special guest at the match between Lavington and Wangaratta Rovers.
Tickets for a day on the deck are $100 and include food and drink.
Enquiries can be made on 0411 133 697.
