ADRIAN Purtell says the chance to reach 100 games at Bradford made his decision to stay in the UK even easier.

The Albury-raised rugby league star has inked a two-year deal at the Bulls, extending his stay at the Championship club until at least the end of the 2017 season.
It was a contract extension Purtell negotiated himself.
“Having a player agent since I was 18, I never really knew what went into trying to sort something out,” the 30-year-old said.
“To be able to sign a two-year deal at this stage in my career is something I’m very grateful for.
“To be able to get the opportunity to play for such a big club and hopefully reach 100 games for them next season is something that will be pretty special to me.”
Purtell joined Bradford in 2011 after more than 100 NRL games for Canberra Raiders and Penrith Panthers.
But it’s been a rocky road for the centre.
Purtell suffered a heart attack after a game in 2012, but heroically returned to the field 10 months later.
“It’s been a crazy four years,” Purtell said.
“Heart problems, relegation, fighting for promotion now, but I have enjoyed every minute of it.”
Purtell already has one eye on the future – he’s studying a business and sports management degree.
But he’s still got unfinished business at Bradford.
“We are hoping to get promoted as you want to play against the best competition and test yourself in the Super League,” Purtell said.
“The opportunity to return to the NRL has passed me, so I will see out my professional days over here.”
