Garland, James Saker, Justin Koschitzke, Matt Pendergast and Jack Nunn return for Saturday’s clash with the Wangaratta Rovers.
Garland said the fight to keep your spot in the team was a healthy problem.
“I know that I have to come back and play my role extremely well, because that’s what someone’s done for the last month,” Garland said.
“You can’t fit 30 guys into 21, but you’d rather have that problem.”
Because of a hamstring injury, Garland hasn’t played since the round 13 win over Wangaratta.
The star midfielder’s also had a knee injury this season, which has kept him to just 11 games.
“Last week I was right to go but I had the flu all week,” Garland said.
“I’ve had two injuries this year that have put me out for about a month each.”
