Now in its 17th year, the festival saw bands playing at the Hibernian and Nicholas hotels on Friday and Saturday while afternoon concerts on Saturday and Sunday were popular at Bridge Road Brewery.
“People come from all over the country to play these kinds of instruments and they spend all weekend just jamming,” organiser Wendy Jackson said.
“Saturday afternoon at the brewery was packed to overflowing.”
Workshops at the Old Priory over the weekend were hugely popular.
Hundreds took the opportunity to learn instruments, such as the mandolin, or learn harmony singing.
BluGuru proved popular with their eclectic mix of blues, celtic, jazz and bluegrass with and Indian feel.
Described as world music meets bluegrass, BluGuru was also joined by Rachel Johnston – a world class orchestral cello player from Adelaide.
“The line-up was a little more diverse this year,” she said.
“We had a jug band (Mama’s Mountain Jug Band) and the Recycled String Band from Wangaratta were a bit more bluesy, then BluGuru brought a different sound.”
