The Swans haven’t been able to train or play on their ground since losing to Kiewa-Sandy Creek on August 1.
With rain falling for most of that day as well as the week before against Dederang, the playing surface deteriorated to what was described as “the worst playing conditions in living memory”.
Chiltern transferred its final home and away game against Rutherglen to Sandy Creek and has been forced to train at Howlong, Corowa and Les Cheesley Oval.
“It’s been tough at times for our supporters, trainers, committee and players but everyone has just got on with business, you just deal with it,” coach Mark Doolan said.
“Fortunately other clubs have been good enough to help us out with grounds and we have been able to get some decent work in on the track over the last month.”
The Chiltern Recreation Reserve committee of management has a plan that includes installing sub-surface drainage to the oval.
