At the age of 81, Deniliquin’s Dawn McKay has been a LifeBall player for 15 years and is showing no signs of slowing down.

“When you get to my age, keep playing,” she said at Wednesday’s tournament in Albury.
Mrs McKay was one of about 50 LifeBallers who played in the sport’s annual fun and friendship day.
A basketball player in her youth, she is thankful she can still keep fit in a sport that involves walking instead of running, no contact, and shooting a ball into a net at eye level.
“It’s one of the happiest things I’ve ever done,” she said.
John Avery and Rupert Cheetman, both 81, came up to Albury from Benalla for the day and said they enjoyed being in a competition where no one actually keeps score.
“It’s very laid back,” Mr Cheetman said.
“I don’t worry about being competitive here.”
The day was hosted by local team, the Albury Falcons, with help from LifeBall creators, Brian Lord and Colleen Wilson-Lord.
