Former deputy prime minister Tim Fischer will speak about World War I military strategist Sir John Monash in Albury on Thursday.

Mr Fischer will address the international night organised by the Rotary Club of Albury Hume.
After his war service Sir John Monash was Vice Chancellor of Melbourne University and head of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria among other roles.
The international night will be held at Murray Gardens Retirement Village, East Albury, from 6.30pm.

Rotary will donate proceeds from the night to help Wheelchairs for Kids and Operation Cleft.
