A helicopter will fly low over the North East on September 14 and 15 to conduct powerline inspections ahead of bushfire season.

AusNet Services is advising residents in Barnawartha, Wodonga, Mt Beauty, Bright, Myrtleford and Wangaratta of the choppers movements.
The aircraft will allow the company to photograph electricity assets as part of maintenance and bushfire mitigation programs.
Regional Customer and Community Manager, Craig Velt, said the helicopter operates between 10am and 3pm, flying at approximately 100 feet above the ground.
“In the helicopter, we can quickly fly along our powerlines in challenging landscapes to photograph assets for our technical specialist to assess and then direct our field workers to undertake the appropriate action required,” Mr Velt said.
