Marcela, 20, regularly attended the field days as a child and is set to dazzle visitors with her hoop and juggling routine on the Farm Gate stage this year.
She graduated from the Flying Fruit Fly Circus in 2013 after 10 years of training and eight years performing, and is now a regular trainer for the circus.
She travelled to Jabiru, in the Northern Territory, twice last year to teach circus to indigenous children and has completed a three-week creative development stint with Melbourne’s Circus Oz.
Marcela said it was an honour to be able to perform at her hometown event on Tuesday, September 22 at 9.45am and 2.30pm, and Wednesday and Thursday at 9.45am and 3pm.
Meanwhile, youth across the region are being given an opportunity to showcase their talents at Henty.
Henty field days chairman Ross Edwards said the co-operative was a strong advocate of youth involvement in the field days.
It supports the Dreamfields Creative Youth Mentor program, which culminates in the annual Dreamfields Festival in March, with several of this year’s acts set to grace the stage at the field days.
Dreamfields spokesperson Laura Vogel, 21, said such events provided a much-needed platform for young local people to put their creative endeavours on display.
“Dreamfields is amazing for the youth of our region because it gives us a chance to express ourselves through musical performance,” Ms Vogel said.
“There are hardly any places around the Border where young people can perform and showcase their musical talents.”
The 2015 line-up at Henty opens on September 22 with the co-winner of the Dreamfields song-writing award, Mia Bettio, 18, from Walwa, who will launch her debut single.
She will be joined by Jindera musician Lachlan Mitchell who won the Kirinari Award for Innovation at Dreamfields 2015.
On September 23, there will be performances by Laura Vogel and newcomers Emma Hooppell, 15, from Albury High School, and Madeleine Nunan, 15, of St Paul’s College Walla.
Laura previously recorded in Kool Skools for Murray High while Emma is known by her busking fans as The Borneo Girl; she is raising funds for her world challenge community project in Borneo, Indonesia and aims to raise over $6000 to help an underprivileged school.
On Thursday Corowa High School student Jayde Smith, 18, will perform alongside Emma Quirk, 20, a former Xavier High music student.
