The electricity provider on Tuesday confirmed how many jobs would be lost across NSW as part of a mass axing of 700 positions.
Riverina workers have also been lopped from Wagga (9), Corowa (1) and Culcairn (1).
Ten depots, including sites at Narrandera, Darlington Point and Moama are also being shut.
Essential Energy's deputy chief executive officer Gary Humphreys said the cuts would affect management as well as field workers.
“A period of consultation with potentially impacted employees has begun and will continue over coming weeks to explain processes and how they may affect individuals,” he said.
The job losses are in response to the Australian Energy Regulator ordering Essential Energy to cut 30 per cent in costs from 2014 to 2019.
“These proposed workforce reductions are regrettable yet unavoidable," Mr Humphreys said.
"We appreciate this is a difficult time for all Essential Energy employees and are committed to treating them with the highest level of respect.”
