A win at John Flower Oval for the in-form Tigers will see the side through to its first grand final since the competition began.
However it won’t be an easy feat against the Pigeons who have made eight consecutive deciders.
Albury coach Olivia Aughton said it would be a tough assignment.
“It won’t be easy or anything less than an absolute dogfight out there – both teams will work as hard as they can,” she said.
“We've got nothing to lose.
“They are a well-oiled side with a lot of finals experience, it will be very much a decision-making game out there.
“Yarrawonga didn’t play at their best last time, if they step up to their normal strength it will be a really tight game.
“It would be a dream to make the grand final, but we are not counting our chickens before they hatch – we are just taking it a quarter at a time.”
Albury will be looking to play possession netball and apply defensive pressure all over the court.
They will keep an eye on Yarrawonga’s strong mid-court and star shooter Bridget Cassar.
The teams’ last clash was in round 17 of the season where Albury caused an upset with a one-goal win.
But Aughton says no matter what the outcome is, the girls are proud to be up against some top teams.
“I'm happy if we play our game and do what we know works,” she said.
“The girls are really excited, we couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces at training.
“It’s such an effort we have come this far - it’s a massive pat on the back for all of our girls.
“We are just going out with nothing to lose, to enjoy it, take in the atmosphere and hopefully if we play to our best we come through with the goods.”
The winner will go on to face Wodonga in the grand final at Lavington Oval on September 27.
