Magistrate Tony Murray did not hesitate to put the teenager behind bars after a second incident of driving while disqualified.
That meant Boswell had in effect breached a suspended sentence, known as a section 12 good behaviour bond.
“There’s no good reason for the breach,” Mr Murray told Boswell, 19, who gave his address at his girlfriend’s parents’ home in Rivergum Drive, East Albury.
He was supported in court by his girlfriend, who returned later with a bag of belongings.
Boswell had pleaded guilty to the bond breach related to driving while disqualified and the second charge of driving while disqualified.
Mr Murray expressed his dismay at Boswell being picked up for disqualified driving less than a week after he was given the suspended sentence.
“He has totally disregarded the order of the court,” he said.
Mr Murray also highlighted Boswell’s driving history.

“It’s a disgraceful record over a short period of time,” he said.
Boswell, 19, was given a fixed term of three months’ jail on one of the charges and a concurrent term of eight months, with a non-parole period of four months, on the second charge.
He was also given a 30-month disqualification period, extending the time before he can apply for a driver’s licence until February 25, 2020.
The court was told that police were patrolling in North Street, Albury, on May 26 when they saw a small moped motorcycle at 8.17pm.
A radar check revealed Boswell was travelling at 58km/h in a 50km/h zone.
Boswell told the police he was suspended from holding a licence.
In the second incident, police saw Boswell and another man in a red unregistered Nissan Skyline heading west on the Riverina Highway in East Albury on August 6.
Boswell admitted he had broken the law.
Checks revealed he was disqualified from driving until 2017.
