He will now be sentenced next month over the incident, which stemmed from a late night visit to a Holbrook pub earlier this year.

The Holbrook man initially faced six charges in Albury Local Court, including being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence.

That last count related to an allegation he was carrying a vacuum cleaner pipe while making a threat.

But this charge was withdrawn, as were two counts of affray and one of being on premises without a lawful excuse.

McKeahnie, 26, of Swift Street, pleaded guilty to stalk or intimidate with intention of creating fear of physical harm and common assault.

McKeahnie went to the Riverina Hotel in Holbrook on February 14 about 10pm.

He tried to buy some takeaway alcohol, but he was refused service as it was out of hours.

While that was happening, police said a dispute broke out between four people, including McKeahnie’s pregnant partner.

Police facts put before magistrate Tony Murray said this led to two people being charged with assaulting the woman.

About an hour later, McKeahnie was at the corner of Ross and Albury streets as one of the pair, a woman, stood outside the hotel waiting to head home.

Police said McKeahnie said words to the effect of: “I’m going to get you. I know where you live. My missus is going to have a miscarriage because of you.”

This caused the woman to fear for her safety and she took the advice of the hotel manager to go back inside the pub.

About 12.50am, McKeahnie drove to a house in Hume Street, with four other men following him in another car.

They approached the front door, causing the woman to run back inside to call the police.

A man then went outside the house to speak to McKeahnie, resulting in a heated argument that culminated in the men refusing a request to leave.

McKeahnie then punched the man in the face, leaving him with the taste of blood in his mouth.
