The 26-year-old was found in a tent at the DEFQON festival at the Sydney International Regatta Centre about 11pm Saturday.
His friends performed first aid until paramedics arrived and he was taken to Nepean Hospital but later died.
Police arrested 46 people for drug offences during the event, including four for drug supply, with two people caught with 46 pills believed to be MDMA.
