Billed as a “virtuosic gypsy world music fusion band”, Lolo Lovina played everything from traditional music to a Rolling Stones cover.
Groups of friends and families of all ages set up for the afternoon with their picnic baskets and eskies and enjoyed stalls with wood-fired pizzas, paella and ice-cream.
Albury Council events officer Renate Griese said she was pleased with the turnout to the free event, which always has a good following.
“It’s not everyday that you get to experience a quality band like Lolo Lovina,” she said.
“This is a beautiful way to enjoy a Sunday in the gardens.”
Jazz act Shirazz will play the next Music in the Gardens event in October, followed by concert pianist Simon Tedeschi in November.
“There’s some people who haven’t missed a single Music in the Gardens event,” Ms Griese said.
