Officers spotted the Mitsubishi Magna at Kookaburra Point about 1.35am Saturday.
The car had not been reported stolen but firefighters believe the blaze was deliberately lit.
The vehicle had been driven into a ditch near the boat ramp on the southern side of the reserve, and the rear wheels became stuck.
