World champion axeman and men’s health ambassador David Foster has reiterated the message men above 40 should go to the doctor’s once a year for a check up.

“Blokes never talk about health problems, so I want to get out there and push the message across,” he said.
Demonstrating his skills to onlookers in a workshop, Foster said booking a doctor’s appointment would be a great birthday present.
“Do yourself a favour,” he said.
“Before my birthday every year since I was 40 I’ve had a blood test.”
Foster said while he was eccentric, he continued to advocate for positive attitudes towards life.
“We’re not all world champion wood-choppers, but we can all be good at something,” he said.
