After finally getting through to the grand final, Meredith said the Panthers would be able to apply the lessons they learned on Sunday next year.
“The last few years we hadn’t quite been up to it in the preliminaries, and we went one better this year,” Meredith said.
“We weren't up to it on Sunday, but we'll be stronger next year and go one better.
“We went down fighting and a few things didn't go our way.
“This club is like a home to me and few of the other guys, so we'll be back.”
Meredith said the reserves grand final win was a sign of the club's strong depth.
