West Coast Eagles supporter Ben Ward said he was sure Adam Simpson’s side could prove the doubters wrong at the MCG.
“No-one backed West Coast from the get go,” he said.
“I think the Weagles web is going to take effect.”
Young Hawthorn fan Euriah Holland, 11, said he was confident of his team’s chances of claiming a third straight premiership flag.
“We’ll beat them by 18 points,” he said.

Avid Brisbane Bronco fanatic Renae Mason was bullish ahead of the NRL showpiece against North Queensland Cowboys.
“We’re better than them,” she said.
“Our centres will outdo theirs.”
Adrienne and Taylah Hartnett, 14, were upbeat about the Cowboys’ chances.
“We’ll beat them with passion … we moved up there for a while and fell in love, it’s passion unlike any other team I reckon,” he said.
