Yes, some fishos are getting some fish just fishing with baits if you find the right bank to fish from.
Yellowbelly, redfin and one fisho got a nice trout and from the boats trolling with your lures and baits around the trees but not all fishos are getting fish so have a look around for that good spot.
Next week the Hume Weir will get some more trout stocked in it, so you take them out we’ll put them in.
The yellowbelly that have been caught this week have been nice fat fish.
It’s good to see that the stocking is working and more should be caught if you’re out fishing.
MURRAY RIVER: If you are on the river at the right time some are getting yellowbelly or some redfin in the weed beds with baits or lures but up at the wall end some nice trout have been caught with lures.
You do have to work for them as the water is up but if you get in the right spot you should get a fish or two but take care near the water.
LAKE DARTMOUTH: Some nice trout were picked up again this week with lures trolling across to the wall and down a bit deeper 20-40 feet.
One fisho fished around the trees with baits and got four nice trout but on the way home he stopped in on the Mitta River and got a nice 5lb brown trout with a lure in a bit of back water.
He was happy with his bag for the day, so if you want to fish in the Mitta River find a good spot and see what you can get.
If you’re up that way have a fish in the pondage as it has been fishing ok for big brown trout.
