The TAFE NSW Riverina Institute students from Albury, Wagga, Young and Griffith are running try-a-trade in the event’s merchandise alley.
At the stall, people can experience practical skills such as automotive, spray painting and panel beating.
Other challenges relate to changing tyres and playing the V8 supercars Xbox game.
Walla automotive apprentice Luke Lieschke, 20, said this week he was looking forward to the experience.
"Just being up there and speaking to drivers,” he said.
"I can't wait for it.”
A second year apprentice who attends Wagga TAFE, Mr Lieschke works in his family’s business, D.E. Lieschke & Son, the fourth generation to do so.
"I sort of didn't really know any better," he said with a laugh.
