Hyde, sidelined with a broken hand since the Tigers’ qualifying final loss to Wangaratta Rovers, trained separately from the main group at Albury Sportsground.
In miserable conditions, he participated in light ball work with fitness staff, however he used his injured right hand as little as possible.
It was fully covered.
Despite being labelled a certain starter in Sunday’s decider against Yarrawonga by Tiger co-coaches Danny Stevens and Daniel Maher in recent weeks, Hyde was restricted to running laps while his teammates participated in handball drills.
However, the main group soon left the Sportsground to train at Albury pool, leaving Hyde to be put through his paces on his own.
The former Richmond midfielder and 2009 Did Simpson medallist spent about half an hour in the rain kicking the ball around the Tigers’ home ground.
He only used his right hand to guide the ball onto his preferred left kicking foot.
He marked with his left hand only.
Meanwhile, in further grand final injury news, Yarrawonga superstar Brendan Fevola says he has no concerns about his troublesome left knee ahead of the decider.
Despite a torn posterior cruciate ligament and chipped tibia, the two-time Coleman medallist yesterday labelled himself a definite starter.
He is due to arrive in Yarrawonga today.
