Axel Reimers, 39, again decided against making an application for bail, allowing for the charges against him to be adjourned.
Reimers will appear again in Albury Local Court on November 23.
He faces charges including intentionally choking a person with recklessness, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, damaging property by fire and possessing an unregistered firearm.
