The character is the brainchild of Albury author Kim Macklin, and is featured in her new book Cinnamon’s Birthday Surprise about a lost French poodle.
Year 2-3 classroom teacher Kristen Guymer said students spent several hours learning how to draw Brewster and asking questions.
“The kids got to sit down and learn how to draw the character, and then they read the story to our students as well,” she said.
“As a small country town it was just wonderful both the author and illustrator could come out and teach drawing and read stories to our children.”
