The incident occurred about 3.15pm on Tuesday on the corner of Hume and Olive streets.
The victim – a woman aged in her 70s – was struck by the car.
She received injuries to her thigh and face and was transported to hospital by paramedics.
It's believed a probationary driver was involved.
The injuries were not considered life threatening.
Police are looking into the cause.
