Other agronomic topics to be discussed include new lucerne varieties, Blackleg resistance in canola, sustainable grazing management and dual purpose crop varieties for grazing and cropping.
“The trials are still looking fantastic despite no rain for six weeks, so those who attend will get a good gauge on what should finish well in a tight season,” Daniel Moll said.
“We’ve been hosting the field day for over 70 years at the home farm Elderslie.
“We’ve run the day with the LLS and DPI for over 40 years, and it’s great to have Riverine Plains and Holbrook Landcare on board.”
Speakers include Nigel Phillips, Kurt Lindbeck, Don McCaffery and Peter Matthews from NSW DPI, David Leah from Seed Force and Jeremy Roake from Waratah Seed Co.
