Albury Preschool director Gabrielle Connell said the longevity of the oldest preschool in town was a product of the community and its committed, hardworking and loyal staff.

“Without the support of our families, community and friends we couldn’t be the preschool we are today.
“I hope we see another 70 years – there’s a time capsule we put in in 1995 and it will be opened on the 100th birthday.”
Former committee member (2001-2008) Maria Bourdis said her children had a fabulous time at the preschool and they still talked about it often even now.
“I have always admired the staff for their dedication to the preschool and their genuine love and care for the children,” she said.
An Albury Preschool student in 1954 Laraine Medwell, of Bellbridge, cut the birthday cake on October 30.
