Northern Victoria was lashed with storms that left several houses without roofs
The State Emergency Service said at least seven homes were severely damaged when the storm struck about 3pm.
Photos showed tin roofs ripped from houses, uprooted trees, collapsed fences and debris strewn across driveways in Strathmerton
The storms also brought down powerlines and caused localised flooding.
While in the North East there was no reported significant damage, the weather system did generate thunder, lightning and amazing cloud patterns and colours.
