Border apprentices made the grade at the bi-annual Riverina Murray regional round of the World Skills Competition at Wagga.

Known as the “Trade Skills Olympics”, apprentices or employees working in a trade aged under 23 are nominated by their employer.
Wodonga TAFE students performed well in the regional round announced in October.
Retail Baking (Bread) results: Gold – Zoe Coleman; Silver – Adam Pontt; and Bronze – Acacia Penney.
Retail Baking (Cakes and Pastry) results: Gold – Julianna Kettyle; Silver – Kate Lowe; and Bronze – Acacia Penney.
These students’ entries will now be considered by a selection panel for the national round to be held in Melbourne in 2016.
