- Friday, October 12, 1973 – Bronwynne Richardson, 17, ends work at Coles supermarket in Albury and dragged into a car in Smollett Street, driven away and raped.
- Sunday, October 14, 1973 – Her body is recovered from Horseshoe Lagoon near the Murray River.
- Wednesday, October 17, 1973 – More than 500 attend St John's Anglican Church at Corowa for Miss Richardson's funeral.
- 1975 – Inquest into Miss Richardson's death finds she died of strangulation and drowning but did not identify who was responsible.
- 1990 – Based on fresh information, a new probe was launched and three men charged in connection with the crime, however not one was convicted.
- June 2008 – The case is reopened by the Southern Region Unsolved Homicide Team under the name Strike Force Kulaman.
- May 2010 – The reward for information about Miss Richardson's murder is quadrupled to $200,000.
- May 2011 – A new inquest into Miss Richardson's death is confirmed for November 2011, with her mother Noelle Richardson saying it offered hope and "miracles do happen".
- November 2011 – Second inquest hears Miss Richardson received a death threat from a former boyfriend. Mrs Richardson recalled her daughter was told in a phone call: "Bronnie you are going to die."
- December 2, 2011 – Deputy state coroner Carmel Forbes makes open finding, but recommends police keep investigating.
- July 30, 2014 – Colin Newey is arrested in SA.
- July 31, 2014 – Newey is charged with abduction, rape and murder of Miss Richardson.
- November 3, 2015 – The DPP withdraws charges against Newey.
