TOUGH DECISION: Albury Council has reluctantly chosen to cancel the QEII Twilight Markets as storms and wet weather are set to dampen the Border.
While the markets have been cancelled, MAMA will remain open until 7pm.
Albury mayor Henk van de Ven said it was the first time the event had been cancelled.
"We've made the decision to cancel tonight's market reluctantly," Cr van de Ven said.
"The weather is predicted to be so bad that the market would not be safe or enjoyable.”
The next market will be on Thursday 10 December from 5pm to 7pm at QEII Square.
