Detectives had appealed for information on the "t-shirt bandits” on Monday and released footage from a Rutherglen service station.
Officers again appealed for information on Tuesday after receiving a tip-off that the group could be armed.
The appeal culminated in raids at properties in Wodonga on Thursday morning, including a warrant at a property in Stott Court where five people were arrested.
In all, 10 people aged 15 to 46 were arrested.
“We wish to thank everyone,” Detective Sergeant Graeme Simpfendorfer said.
“There have been a lot of ‘likes’ and comments on social media and people following the news.
“It did assist with our investigation.”
