MEMBER for Farrer Sussan Ley departed on Monday for her first overseas trip as health minister to China and Indonesia.

Ms Ley will meet with her Chinese counterpart Dr Li Bin in Beijing and co-sign an updated Australia-China memorandum of understanding and action plan for health co-operation.
“Australia has a strong and broad relationship with China," she said.
"These agreements underpin our growing technical cooperation with China on health issues."
The original agreements were signed in 1983.
In Jakarta, Ms Ley will supporting the government’s efforts to strengthen Australia’s business relationship with Indonesia through the Indonesia Australia Business Week event.
“This event reinforces bilateral relationships through high-level political and commercial exchanges, and promotes Australia as a trade, investment, education and tourism partner,” she said.
“Indonesia has a large and growing demand for healthcare and seniors living services."
